Stainless Steel Grade 355 is a precipitation-hardening stainless steel formulated for forming into wrought products. Grade 355 demonstrates moderately high ductility and moderately high tensile strength amongst the precipitation hardening stainless steels. Generally found in applications under 1000 F, 355 is used when a combination of corrosion resistance and strength are required. Examples include industrial cutting tools, knives and a variety of valve and gas turbine components.
