AerMet® 100 is an ultra-high strength martensitic alloy steel. Cobalt and nickel are the main alloying elements with chromium, molybdenum and carbon also added. Its exceptional properties are hardness, tensile strength, fracture toughness and ductility. AerMet® 100 is not corrosion resistant, so it must be sealed if used in moist environments.
AerMet® is a registered trademark of CRS Holdings, Inc., a subsidiary of Carpenter Technology Corporation.
