Alloy Steel AISI/SAE H-11 is a chromium hot-worked tool steel, designated as group H according to the AISI classification system. This series of steels start from H1 to H19, with the most commonly used chromium hot-work steels being H11, H12, and H13. This group of tool steels are subjected to minimal distortion during hardening due to their balanced alloy content. Tools normally manufactured from chromium hot-work steels can be cooled using water without damage due to the low carbon and alloy content.
